The King's Christmas Pudding

Royal Pudding

  • 1lb. raisins
  • 1lb. plums(stoned and halved)
  • 1lb. breadcrumbs
  • 1lb. Demerara sugar
  • 1lb. eggs (weighed in shells)
  • ½ lb. sifted flour
  • 1lb. finely grated suet
  • 4oz. Citron peel(thinly sliced)
  • 4ozs. Candied peel(thinly sliced)
  • Half a nutmeg (grated)
  • 2 tea-spoons salt
  • 1 tea-spoon mixed spices
  • 1 wineglassful brandy

add ¼ lb. blanched almonds
