White scones

  • 4 teacups flour
  • 1½ teaspoons cream of tartar
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • piece of butter size of an ?egg
  • 1 egg and a little milk
  • 1 tablespoon sugar

Mix flour, cream of tartar, baking soda and butter together. Then add sugar and milk and egg. Bake 5 minutes.

After taking scones out of oven, brush quickly over with milk and cover with a cloth for a minute.
