Cheese and Peanut Butter Biscuits

  • 4 ozs. wholemeal flour
  • 4 ozs. fine oatmeal
  • 1 oz. lard
  • 3 ozs. grated cheese
  • 2 ozs. peanut butter
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • Milk
  • Pinch Cayenne pepper (or mustard)

Rub fat into flour and oatmeal. Add other ingredients. Mix to stiff paste with milk or milk and water. Roll out thinly and cut into shapes. Bake in a moderate oven 30 - 35 mins.
