Sultana Cake 1

  • ¾ lb. flour
  • ½ lb. butter
  • ½ lb. sugar
  • ¼ lb sultanas
  • 3 ozs. peel
  • 1 oz dried cherries
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 5 eggs
  • a little milk if necessary

  • 1 lb. flour
  • 12 ozs butter
  • 12 ozs sugar
  • ¼ sultanas
  • 6 ozs peel
  • 2 ozs cherries
  • 2½ BP
  • 8 eggs

Beat butter and sugar to a cream add each egg separately and beat well. Stir in flour and baking powder with the milk. Add fruit, mix welll, and turn into a greased and lined cake tin.

Bake in oven with the "Regulo" at mark 4 for 1 hour 45 minutes.
