Easter Biscuits

  • 8 oz flour
  • 4 oz fat (marg and lard mixed)
  • 4 oz sugar
  • 1 oz cornflour
  • 2 oz currants
  • 1 egg
  • ½ teaspoon mixed spice

Cream fat and sugar, add seived flour etc. Alternate with beaten egg. Add currants last. Roll out eighth inch. Bake Regulo 3 til pale gold. Lift with a knife when still very hot and turn onto paper sprinkled with castor sugar.
