Parkins.
- 2 ozs. flour
- 2 ozs oatmeal
- 1 oz. sugar
- ¼ teaspoonful baking soda
- ½ teaspoonful cinnamon
- ½ teaspoonful ground ginger
- 1 oz. sugar
- 1 oz. margarine
- 1 oz. syrup or treacle
- few blanched almonds
- Mix dry ingredients, and add melted margarine and syrup.
- Mix well with hand and place in small balls in greased tray.
- Put half almond on top of each
- Bake in moderate oven 15 - 20 minutes.
- Cool on wire tray. If flat biscuits are wanted press balls with knuckles. Do not use rolling pin.
